Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R) Training

Program Duration: Half day

Program Aim:

The aim of this program is to provide the knowledge and skills to conduct a Measurement System study for variable data per AIAG guidelines. It enables the learner to quantify numerically the precision of a measurement system, interpret the results and present findings cohesively.

Program Objectives:

At the end of this course, for variable data, you will be able to:

  1. Conduct a gauge R&R study
  2. Analyse a gauge R&R study
  3. Interpret results from a gauge R&R study

Determine the adequacy of the measurement system

Process Capability

Program Duration: Half day

Program Aim:

The aim of this program is to provide the knowledge and skills to conduct a Capability Study for variable data. It enables the learner to quantify numerically the performance of a process, interpret the results and present analysis.

Program Objectives:

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Calculate numerically the process performance using indices Cp, Cpk, Pp, and Ppk
  2. Conduct a Capability Study and Interpret resulting Cp, Cpk, Pp and Ppk
  3. Use software to calculate Cp, Cpk, Pp and Ppk (Minitab or Excel)
  4. Effectively present process performance summary

Graphical Analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Program Duration: Half Day or One Day Program available customised to suit client scope

Program Aim:

The aim of this program is to provide the knowledge and skills to select, generate and analyse the appropriate graphs for new/existing data per AIAG guidelines. From this analysis it is envisaged that the trainee will make good sound decisions based on the facts presented.

Program Objectives:

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Confirm the objective of your data analysis activity
  2. Generate and interpret the following graphs: Time Series Plot, Scatter Plot, Histogram, Run Chart, Box Plot and Pareto Chart
  3. Select, implement and interpret SPC charts: I-MR and Xbar R charts
