Project Portfolio Management

Course Aim:

To provide learners with the knowledge and skills to set up a project portfolio and resource management process to support the systematic selection of the right projects for the business and resource accordingly.

Course Objectives:

Learners will be able to:

• Describe the different between a project portfolio management process and the project management process
• Describe the organisation structure required to support effective project selection
• Apply an Ideation tool to manage the ideas for projects
• Set up a project portfolio process to review ideas, approve ideas to the project charter phase and monitor the overall project portfolio throughout the year
• Set up resources management process to assign resources to projects and monitor resource loading to ensure effective project delivery of strategic and continuous improvement projects
• From the resource management process, align training and development requirements to project success
