Systematic Approach to Effective Problem Solving

Root Cause Analysis is a powerful process to assist in the systematic identification and elimination of the root cause of a problem. Problem solving is one of the 3 key elements of Lean Deployment and there are different levels in which Problem solving can be applied depending on the nature and complexity of the project.

A “Just Do It” action is one where the problem is contained with an immediate action. So, with a leading gasket, you might replace it with a new one and then proceed with work as normal. If the problem reoccurs and you would like to address in a short time-frame, a Rapid Problem-Solving approach can be applied.

Problem Solving in Action Pyramid identifying the different levels of Problem Solving.

For a more in depth look at effective Problem Solving, we presented a webinar about Rapid Problem Solving in action.
